EXAMs!
FINALLY, my ss amd history paper is over! thank God they put these 2 papers one of the first.
SS was... ok-ok. i discovered i wrote out of point for my SEQ part (b). kinda funny, when the examiner tells the whole level in the auditorium," you have got 10 more minuets." the whole school will go," oh shit" x100 times. haha! and i wrote a hell lot for SS.
but when it came to hist. we had no idea to what to write. serious...
and we also briefed on our practical exam in 2 weeks time. there are 4 shifts. mine is the 3rd which is the best. cos i need to reach school at 11.15am and can leave at 1.30pm. shift 1 & 2 need to be in school at 9 and 10(i think) respectively and can only leave the same time as me. WEE!!!

i didn't really pay attention during double period chem lesson today. my friend and i spent the whole time talking about various countries we've been to for our hols.
and i got reminded of my trip to London in 2003 dec... my 2 trips to fuzhou with the Teens and the last one to melacca. the overseas scout trips to penang and thailand.
and cos i watched the film Feet Unbound where there were parts where the women interviewed people in the small villagers in china... wow feel so much like the small little city when i was in china.
oh well, tmr is my hist and ss paper. DIE DIE DIE!!!

today sucked.
today seriously sucked. not even 8am the sun was shining like half of the tennis court and everyone was sweating like crazy, i'm so sure this morning is the first time in all my days in barker that i sweat so much. my goodness la.
and my school math teacher is one toot la. i mean think about this... how long did your math teacher teach you shear and stretch on transformation?(i think sec4s this year don't learn it) the very least is 4 periods cos its something not easy to understand and needs quite alot of time to learn properly. and my "wonderful" teacher taught us in 20 mins and the whole class was like,"what in the world is that?"
and i spent almost 30mins baking quality chocolate cakes in the toilet twice. like whats wrong with me man. not say i've been eating strange food lately other than the bitter gourd i ate last thursday which tasted kinda nice cos it was slightly sour. haha.
then when taking the bus 153 home from raffles town club, the stupid double decker bus smells of fertilizers and amazingly i still managed to sleep all the way back home even with the 'nice smelling' animal chocolate.
hmmm i was thinking as i was walking home from the bus stop. i wanna send a myth to mythbusters asking them to test whether is it possible to fry a raw egg out in the open during one really hot day. HAHA

TMS
i actually felt yesterday's dinner at this certain hotel restaurant's(can't remember which) food wasn't very good. i agree the environment was suitable but the food... i expected better.
and to think i'll be going back there on thursday for a buffet lunch. hmmm... oh well, at least i managed to drink some wine. 3 glasses to be exact :D
and i didn't know why i couldn't sleep last night. i switched off the light at 12.11am... tossed and turned till like 2.51am before i actually went to sleep. i should count sheep next time...
TMS today in church was.... alright? at least i played a part in helping my class earn that 2 points. haha. and not bad lor, our class wasn't in the last position after the whole TMS, and furthermore today was our first time doing... WEE
after church, i went lunch with gerald, sarah, cher and paul. and outside KFC this was what i saw...

Due to COPYRIGHT issued they had to ask if they could take the picture of not they would be charged for breaching copyright law. well, i agreed to it and i asked if i could have a draft of it.

if i had a dream that brought me to a place in my entire lifetime i won't get to go and see. That would definetly be Willie Wonka's chocolate factory... can you imagine, walking along the "grass" and you can just pick up chocolate and stuff it down your throat? or even drinking "pong water" from pond which is like filled with chocolate. WOW
oh well, i took my weight again yesterday... guess what? i lost weight again!

i think Mas Selamat is dead la...
today was the slackest of the slackest days of school... my class practically had only 2 periods of lessons. cos first 2 periods were SS, followed by double PE followed by math but in the end math was a free period.
PE was damn fun today la. 1 hour 20 mins of non stop badminton... but i was super tired after that cos when i play badminton with my classmates i'll usually hit the shuttlecock such a way it'll fly just above them so they can hit it... thats why its tiring.
after recess we went to The Picture House to watch a film Feet Unbound... on the Long March. i was so sleepy i dozed off for like 10 mins.

wet & wild
stupid thunder and lightning woke my up today at 5.30am... thankfully i went back to sleep. then damn weird la. my house area was raining like dog like that then when my dad dropped me at school the grounds were dry.
so cos it wasn't raining yet my dad dropped me at the backgate of school along barker road very near to the tennis court. as my dad passed the tennis court where most of the pupils were at for morning essembly it started pouring and the lower sec run like mad la. haha.
after school today i cabbed to paragon cos i was running a little late. and i realised that the cab driver only paid $3000 for his son's braces and my parents are paying almost twice the amount including gst. i swear this 7% gst is crap la. $900 cheque must give 963 cos of 7% gst. :(

well normally when i come home after school everyday i'll just turn the comp straight on and only do my work towards the evening... i've decided to finish my work needed to do for the day first. and NO i won't cover the screen with a pillow cos the comp will still be switched on. hahaha
i can't wait for straits times photography competition coming up... i'm a 110% sure i won't win but i'll still mail my 3 pictures to them. but the best part is when the results come out... i remember there was once this guy won one of the awards for posting this pic of 100s of people jumping into the beach heading to the ocean during one of the competitions held in singapore. the lighting, composition was just nice...

HAHA Night Safari staff don't know the principals of photography...
they say,"ladies and gentlemen, due to powerful flashs that blind our animals. we hope you will kindly cooperate with us by switching off your flashs when photographing especially during the tram ride."
i think and i think and i started laughing to myself. cos whats the point of taking a picture in a dark when there is no light source? so for that i decided not to even take out my camera at all.
well, can't blame the staff. thier job is for the animals, not for cameras. hahaha
surely this can't be underexposed... :)

i went to the Night Safari last night. it was a really cool experience(again) because i've only been to night safari at most... twice when i was really little. all i could remember were rinos roaming around... HA RINOs!!!
my sis, sharon, my sis UK friend and i went for the animal show first. gosh the animals are so cute.. when you see them you just wanna hugg them and bring them home... BUT surely that is impossible. those animals are really smart.
then comes the tram ride. haha it was cool. some animals like the deers, donkeys and RINOs really stink like crazy. like dunno how many week never bathe like that.
HA i feel like i kid la. go night safari only so happy. HAHA
oh well, after everything we had Ben & Jerry's!!!
hmmm, i kinda think i'm drifting away from youth. i don't want to but i really fine no interest in talking to the friends that i've been with for so long. its kinda sad...
OH MAN! i need to go back paragon tmr... the wire of my braces kinda decided to walk out of the bracket :( gotta fix it.
and i'm planning on buying over a 2nd hand dry cabinet and a 430EX. hmm should i but it 2nd hand too?

BOWLING!
bowling was damn fun today... what i won( haha xw don't be jealous its okay :))
my wonderful team comprising of me, Mr Soh Xin Wen, wei yung and joel. great team i must say.
for first game,
we won overall first place for game. I won 2nd runner up for the individual category of total pin falls of 161.
2nd game,
we won overall second place again. I won overall champion for individual category of total pin falls of 143.
3rd(last game),
we won overall third and final game again. HAHA. I won first runner up for individual category for pin falls of 149.
so in total, i'm proub to say my wonderful team won overall for all 3 game. that we each got a trophy for that.
and I won the overall champion for total number of pin falls of 453.
sigh, sadly this is my last year:( i hope someone from acsbr scout troop will beat my score.
fruits are healthy...

i took my height and weight during sports and wellness aka taf club today. the first round i took i just needed to lose 400g and i'll be out of S&W. hahaha mr sim told me,"matthew, you better go pee as much as you can. then you remove you shoes, socks, watch, wallet, phone or even your uniform and take again." hahaha i did everything except removing the uniform part and... i was in accepatble range!!! hahaha i'm so happy!!!
darn i missed the bowling prac. :( hope i'm in the team...

dental
headed down to paragon after school today for my dental appointment.
he just uncliped the brackets then clip them back on. kinda cool. he says by doing that it'll start another round of tightening. and when i go for my next visit he'll be putting back on my bracket.
i started a new thread on the canon section of clubsnap yesterday asking whether it was a common sight that the battery indicator of my camera drops significantly fast. THANK GOD its a common sight. i was thinking of sending it for servicing after my MYE. hmmm, maybe i'll just send it for servicing. do they do cleaning as well? :S

yay i'm finally well enough. good thing i didn't take the cough mixture today if not i'll be as good as dead in school today.
ha as i was eating lunch just a while ago i suddenly remember something that happen on sunday afternoon...
i set my phone on general mode, set my alarm at 4.30 to wake me up... then i slept at 2.30 in the afternoon. i didn't even know i recieved a msg at 3.00. this kinda shows how drowsy i was. (cos normally even if my room door opens i'll wake up already) then 4.30 my alarm sounded( but i didn't realised my alarm sounded, i thought it was a msg) and then i realised i read the msg saying," hope you're feeling better.. blah blah blah." then my reply was," haha your msg woke me up.. blah blah blah" then i asked some really random question. sent it and went back to sleep. at that period of time i really wasn't in the right frame of mind. then when i woke up, i was thinking, eh shit did i send a msg just now? then i read my sent items.. WOW a msg that really didn't make sense. haha so i resent the msg.
but i'm fine now:)
school was kinda cool. while i was having EL doing some stupid 2001 o level compre. the fire extinguisher suddenly burst and the whole section of level 5's floor was filled with white powder. cos i was in the Learning Centre(LC) where the walls are glass. we could see everything. damn cool la. haha.
after school i stayed back with my classmates hushsha and hakim to do our history SBQ, damn i think i'm going to die... and why aren't the current sec 4s not doing transformation for thier o level math? it easier to score than... vectors? haha

i didn't go school today. which means i would need to stay back either thursday or friday after school to do my history SBQ :(
for the past few days, there has been workers and contractors coming in and out of my house trying to do some stuff to the sewage drain at my house back yard. sadly this manhold is build by the government so they can do anything to it anytime they want. i think the drain is kinda deep down cos i saw one of the workers going in. its slightly more than 2 metres deeps. kinda scary and i would think its gonna stink like mad.
tomorrow i'll be going civil service club again for bowling prac. i must reach my 170 pin fall!!!

drowsy
took my temperature this morning... 37.5
i still remember on christmas sunday last year i was running a even higher fever and i still went church. i woke up with a temperature of 38.7.
i've been super drowsy, cos my runny nose adn cough medicine both makes me drowss, so when i take both together the drowsiness would be worse.
i'm not sure if i'm going school tmr but i got to sit for a history SBQ assignment. :(
anyway, my bowling score yesterday wasn't that bad. my scores were 90+(for first game), 143 and 129. i need to hit 170 for district bowling competition!

school was quite interesting today. during EL ms fong gave us this worksheet to kinda practice our oral conversation with the examiner.
so the first question was..." if you had to power to change the world, what would it be?"
my answer... "abolish the growth of carrots." HAHA!!
the next question was," what job would you like to have for in the future?"
like i said before... i wanna be a event and wedding photographer.
i think the next question was," where would you like to go if you had a chance to travel overseas?
my answer," UK!!!" hahaha. hopefully i get to go next year...
during contact time today we had to write out testimonial for O level cert. OMGosh i bullshited my whole way thru. but it brings out the ego side of me. haha
during lunch i bumped into my last year EL teacher. had a kinda good talk with her. SJI is a quite proded school. haha

i think the school is damn retarded. yesterday was a 1 day E-learning day for the sec1s to 3s and STILL, the school made them turn up for thier NAPHA 5 items test. whats the point of e learning la. stay in school for like 2 and a half hours for the test. crazy...
well anyway, this is a second time i'm posting 2 exact same photos... just that i edited one shot. i've post this a few days back but a question was asked on how i edited the pic.
this was the normal shot. already in this shot the circular light shadow can be seen already...
for this.. the shadow is much more obvious because i darken the shot. boosted the contast which kinda made my subject in the picture stand out. alot of difference right Debbie Yew. hahaha

i just wanna cry.
i sent my phone for servicing today cos the software was giving me a hell of a headache. i will only get back the phone on wednesday. but thankfully my sis has a spare phone so i'm using her nokia 6300 now.

ACSI gangshow
when you see the title you must be wondering... Gangshow? GANGshow? GANG?
well, each year, a school's scout or guides group will put up either a campfire or a gangshow where they will invite neighbouring school to attend it and for some 'fellowship'. Gangshow, to put it in simpler words, is a campfire WITHOUT a fire (but it is not a camp! haha) for my school we do gangshows cos of our huge concert hall :)
before i entered my school yesterday in the evening before heading to acsi i went to caltex to buy some food... so if i wee to go caltex i'll drop one stop before my school cos of the distance... as i got off the bus just before the overhead bridge i saw someone i kinda knew... was really expected but oh well, that friend of mine stays near there anyway...
then headed to acsi
i would say the gangshow wasn't as good as i thought it will be. maybe because last year acsi gangshow was really good. but thats alright i guess... the breakdance. YES.. it was really good. siach told me they were dancing to the wrong song but still, thier moves were damn pro.
thankfully after the gangshow ollie's dad gave me a ride home. hehe cos my dad gave him a ride home before too.
sometimes its really lonely without anyone...

going off to ACSI later for thier gangshow! i wanna see whether i can shoot the event with a 50 f/1.8 without flash. hopefully the stagelights are bright enough... cos during Bandage there was this art teacher using a 20D shooting a 50 mm f/1.4. hopefully it works
