the 2nd day was quite a good time to take the shots. we went to an elephant farm where we could see how the local people take care of thier elephants, we were given a changce to feed them and even ride on them for a distance. there was even a show where the elephants did some tricks like kicking a soccer ball into the goal, truely an amazing experience for me.
after the elephant riding, we took a buffalo ride back to where the bus was. the ride was rather bumpy but it was sure an experience for us. i had a chance to sit on the "driver's" seat and he helped me took the above shot. quite nicely taken don't you think? allpying the correct compostitions techniques.

one of the nights in chiang mai we had our dinner in pizza hut, we ordered 6 pepsi drinks, and 2 pizza's for < 1200baht as you can see. it was much fun, i enjoyed the time with my petrol members. the pizza was super good, straight from the oven, crispy and steaming hot.
on the last meal in chiang mai, we went to a thai restaurant and had our dinner before taking a 8.30pm flight to bangkok. though the food was a little lesser than our usual meals, it tasted good. the tom yam was a killer, its was quite spicy for us singaporeans, i'm pretty sure when the waitresses was us with constipated faces cos of the spiciness, they must be laughing thier heads off in them.
after dinner we were given a chance to let what i call," little plastic bags" up to the air. the buddist believe that this when released and as it goes up to the sky, all one's sorrows, problems will be taken away from the person. personally i wasn't keen in ding that, i just tried for the experience, besides, we never know when would be the next time we see that again.
in bangkok, one of the mornings we went to a floating market. it was rather crowded then when we were there, there was a period of time where we were stuck in the sampan because there was a massive jam, but everyone of us did some shopping there. we bought some food, the sweet potato taste good. the coconut was real sweet.
in the last night in bangkok, we went to a night market with a ferry's wheel in the middle of it. to me its quite a mordern night market, it was much cleaner and well maintain than what i expected back in singapore. the bargains were good, food were good and the company was great too.
in the morning of the last day, we had to lay out our stuff for inspection, i found it wierd cos even as overseas trip where scouts stay in hotels there was a need for inspection. i wasn't really pleased with what the leaders decided. but it kinda reminded me of whether i had forgotten anything.
we were in bangkok int' airport 4 hours early. we checked in early and walked around the airport for nearly 3 hours. the food in the airport is just a killer, so much more expensive than in the cities. the chocolates were expensive too. oh well, i guess some of us got a little restless, we started doing quite wierd stuff like the one above.
after we met and gathered together, we waited another 45 mins before we could board the plane back to singapore changi airport, dom got a little high and snatched the camera from me and started taking random shots of people and i must say some selected few looked good. the pic above was taken by me, his idea of the post but i made a mistake, i shouldn't have used flash.
the plane ride back was fun. XW, dom and i mixed sprite with salt, pepper and milk powder together and it sure tasted "nice". the scouts kinda made alot of noise but with all this, everyone sure had thier own share of fun.
