cheap macro?
i watched alvin and the chipmunks yesterday with my sis and sharon. then we walked over to my granuncle's house along orchard road. i went there, changed and headed off to NUS for V'nite.
V'nite was real fun, even though i think its a waste of money. haha i brought the camera. YL brought his D70 plus a 100mm f/1.4 MF. WOW!!! how cool is that la. then we took some group pics then i went home. and i know who my form teacher is next year...
TODAY, church.
brought the camera again but batt went flat. haha cos i haven't even did my first 8 hour charge on it. anyway, the sec 4s were given a time to share with everyone about thier past 4 years. i've a feeling mine was the longest. well basically before i went up and spoke into the mic i actually had in mind what i wanted to say but i left one someone. =( felt quite bad.
well, so after church went for lunch then got home and then my mum asked me whether i wanted to go out shopping because i needed to find an adaptor for the camera batt charger. so went novena and bought it.
oh well, some pics to share with my new canon EOS 400D.
on gerald's birthday, he and i went for hair wash with monica and del and we requested for gerald's hair to be done up. haha

last night at V'nite. Mr Soh and i.
SJ borrowed at canon 40D from glori's friend. i used it today with a 35mm f/1.4 L!!!!!

not 2 but 3!
yesterday was gerald's birthday, it was a really tiring day for some of us cos we had to keep him company. haha, but overall was fun. some of us stayed over at downtown east for the night. the BBQ food was good, loved the fish like mad. damn nice.
i brought the camera, took some shots. i love the lens.
i'll be getting back my batt charger from SJ tonight and he'll at the same time pass me his tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens.
anyway in the afternoon today i went to Dental Works. went for an X ray.... again. (and sorry monica, forgot to ckeck the rates) the dentist was an ex-church menber, uncle kah chai. really nice guy. yeah so after the X ray, he now suggests that i extract 3 teeth. RAHH!!!
oh well, tonight my uncle and aunty will be bringing me out for dinner cos of my N level results..... what is there to celebrate???

shopping
in the morning today i went to the dentist this morning...again.
after that i went sim lim square to buy the camera equipment. everything adds up to $400. and i bought a filter too...
tonight i'll be eating jap food at TPY ith my aunty. tomorrow i'll be Staying over at Geralds house. can't wait... i'm thinking whether to bring the camera or not. haha

anyway my dad bought me a new phone today and a new line so i'll be smsing to various people and those people can spread the number. haha
then in the evening i went dinner with a group of church friends, went to pizza hut for dinner.
oh oh oh, SJ handed over the camera body to me just a while ago! i'm going to a dentist again tomorrow... then i'm going sim lim sq to buy my stuff.

fun afternoon
i was happy this morning, finally didn't wake up with a high fever.
in the afternoon me, together with gerald, daniel, monica and cher went to tin tin's house to chill. it was quite a fun time....
i really committed alot alot of crimes today. i cycled tin tin's bike, i play badminton with gerald, i ate alot of choclate tin tin made( and the choc is really good.)... i did all these knowing that i was still sick... HAHA oh, daniel, tin tin, gerald and i played ping pong in the kitchen after watching Balls of Fury. HAHA! its a really dumb ass show.
then when i was on the bus going back home my fever came back. haha i smart right?

still sick
i didn't follow my parents to church today, i slept a little while longer. woke up at 7.40am and forced myself out of bed. i took my temperature and it was 38.6 degrees.
but still i went to church... christmas mah...
i think my temperature went even higher in church. i had a hard time deciding whether to sing or not but in the end i just held the mic and sang. tin tin had stage fright. haha. then it came to the part where everyone starts giving out christmas gift, i didn't really have the mood to prepare anything so i didn't really expect anyone to give me. but oh well, quite a number of my friends did and some rather not-too-close friends of mine gave me too. hmmm, i found it strange at first but oh well, christmas is a time or giving right??? and most importantly, recieving! HAHA

sick
i woke up in the middle of the night shivering, seriously shivering. when i woke up i took my temperature to confirm i was running a fever... can you imagine, someone sleeping in aircon for the past 8 hours and when i took my temp it was 38.6 degrees.
i walked around the whole of bishan street 11 trying to find a dentist... they were either closed or i needed to make am appointment. so i tried my final one at bishan MRT. thankfully there wasn't any patient there so i went in. i had to take an X ray and the results weren't exactly good. the dentist gave me 1 pack of antibiotics, 1 pack of medicine for gastric( i don't even have gastric la), 1 pack of painkillers and 3 bottles of mouth wash which taste like shit. serious.
wow... really 'nice' birthday present i've got from myself. =(
i really hope i can go church tomorrow, need to sing for worship.

wow. my dad actually allows me to buy the camera in taiwan. and let me make it clear... Shang Jun is helping me buy it... not debbie, they're just so happen leaving on the same day to the same place.
anyway, yeah, SJ is helping me buy the camera from taiwan.. hopefully its cheaper.
has anyon got a gum infection and a really bad sore throat at the same time? gosh its damn pain. i'll be visiting a dentist tomorrow.

losers!
made a trip down to Sim Lim Square with me, myself and I this afternoon. i went thru many stores mainly asking," hi, may i know how much is the 400D selling?"... "what about the battery grip E3?"... "what about the 50mm f/1.8?"
somehow or rather, these idiots, seriously idiots for some of them... think i know nothing about cameras don't entertain me at all.
and when i went to one of the shop, i asked the guy the same questions... i got a shock when he told me the camera itself without the lens was $2500. haha i just got my ass out of the store.
then i came to this particular store... i used a different method in asking the sales guy. i went," hi, i'm looking for a canon SLR, anyone cheap in the range?" and he just dragged me in and started asking me what equipment i wanted. all other stores that i went all didn't even care about me. and that sales guy quoted me $1100 for all the equipment i wanted from my previous post except the tamron lens. how cool is that la.
so happen this store that the guy really helped me like crazy, there was another unit in the same level... i asked the person how much the 50mm f/1.8 was. he quoted $189... then i naughtyly told me," but downstairs selling me at $100 leh."
AND immediately he dropped the price to a $100. haha. all these people try and con my money... i bet if tin tin go sim lim sq and buy stuff surely get con la. haha
yeah oh well, i'll be going back there on sunday to get the camera!!!

tomorrow
worked today... then made my own way from AMK to PS to watch the christmas caroling by FMC. quite good actually. took some nice lookin' pics.
tomorrow i'm going to school to collect my N level results at 2pm. why the hell must we wear school uniform??? so irritating! arh i've no idea how i would do for my N's la. but if i do well and make it to sec 5... my family would go to fish and co. tmr for dinner and i'll get a camera! haha
if i get the camera... i'll try and also ask for a battery grip, extra batt, shang jun's tamron lens, a 50mm. =). hehe thats my christmas list if my parents don't get me those. haha just kidding.
yeah anyway i took about 40 shots. quite like this one but actually in photography standard is very bad...

2 days time... :'O
after the worship service today i recieve a msg from a member of the church to join breakfast with him... when i first read the msg i had in mind what we would be discussing together with his family.
i went there, all i saw was just him. i was like,"what???"
but hey, now i know of someone who does things the same way i do. we had a good chat and i was late for sunday school and just then uncle moses was showing the pics from the trip. i bet i took the most pics during the trip. haha
anyway, i'll be dead in 2 days.. N level results coming out. =(

went to G2000 in the evening today with my parents to buy a blazer for me. we first went this random store and the coats or blazers were like selling at 4 digit numbers. that was really a shock. we thought the sales lady said it wrongly. haha
so i got the one from G2000 instead. kinda like it.
at first i wanted to post this pic and let you people guess whose hands are those. but Ms Gloria Ng said it all.

i only took pics at the first church cos my camera walked away from me for some reason.
we went to 3 different churches to conduct the same party for the kids. it was really fun, enjoyed myself that day.

7th dec:
we basically spent the whole day at malaysia's YFC. for the TOCs, we called the kids who attended the JDS sessions to remind them or ask whether they wanna attend the christmas party the following day. as for the rest... some practiced thier mime and the rest did packing.
at breakfast we saw this small little kitten near daniel's table. so cute la. seth held it in his hands for a while and that must have frightened the cat.

Dec 4th/5th/6th: these 3 days we basically spent most of the day at the school where we held our JDS. in the period of these 3 days we held 5 sessions of the JDS session. i didn't get a chance to get a shot of jerald, nic and cheryl with thier fake names but as for britt and seth, i did.

day 2
3rd DEC:
we set off from our hotel to the school we held our JDS. took the shot above just outside the hotel while waiting for the rest to come down. love this shot. the morning sun was pretty nice. we had our breakfast at a prata shop near our hotel then off we went to the school where we held the 5 JDS sessions.
we practiced the JDS and also walked around the school. took this shot(above) when the police(kheng ho) arrest Mr George Koh(jerald) in the JDS session. its really lucky for me to get this shot. no cropping was done at all. aunty clara brought us around the school really big school, just slightly smaller than my school.
after the tour round the school daniel and tin tin reached the school we played ball, using daniel mini rugby ball. the pic above is seth launching the ball up into the sky. leonards thorws of the rugby ball really well.
sarah's hands got a little 'itchy' so she started sketching a wall.
julien and elizabeth took a walk at the field, well, basically because we had quite alot of time to kill.

2nd Dec:
the ride up to malacca was a rather crazy one. a few amongst us sitting in the same coach had problems at the malaysian side of the immigration. that held us back a little while but everything was fine after that. personally for me i didn't the coach ride up. the coach was design to go fast or long distances so it was really bumpy. we reached the exit of ayer keroh between 4 to 5pm..
we checked in to our hotel. the rooms were rather small, leonard(above) missed his mummy and daddy. thankfully i only shared a room with alban... later then i found out why. whereas for gerald, he had to room with seth and nic hui which was the same size as my room and my room was not say very big.
in the evening went for dinner, then went to malaysia YFC and had devotions. gloria lead in worship.after that we went back to hotel. dropped by various rooms with my camera

back.
reached back singapore just a couple of hours ago. really tired but it was rather fun for the whole trip. i used the olympus E-330 with a lumix flash. took some really nice shots.. well, thats what i think i did. but sadly some of the pics were overly exposed(too bright). and i need to brush up on my white balancing. and its amazing how just one SLR can influence people like seth, gerald, elizabeth and debbie into taking random shots like what i do. weee
i took over 1.2GB of pics. mainly because i set the pics at about 6 mega pixels. i'm gonna die, need to shrink all these pics into 700MB
well, i'll be posting more pics soon plus what i did in malacca.
i took this shot to just try out the flash. and it turned out pretty good.
during the JDS briefing by aunty clara. this shot was seth's idea, i just followed his instructions.

had a family function just a while ago... my niece and nephews wereup at the 3rd floor playing xbox with me, and one of them got a little too high. HAHA. trust me, if monica and gerald think they're high.... wait till you see my nephew.
will be going malacca from tomorrow tillthe following monday... well, i'm not as excited as the past 2 years. oh well, making the best of it...
